There aren’t many products on the market that are designed to improve a woman’s sexual experience. It seems that men have plenty of options while women get psychological counseling and maybe some hormones. All of this has changed!

The O-Shot, or “orgasm shot,” is a non-surgical procedure that claims to treat female sexual dysfunction and stimulate the vagina in a way that positively impacts orgasm.

The O-Shot uses a technique called Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy which attempts to rejuvenate vaginal tissues and enhance sexual pleasure. It involves an injection of a patient’s own plasma into the areas of the vagina that are involved in arousal and orgasm. Results can include an increase in sexual desire, increased natural lubrication, and stronger and more frequent orgasms.

Benefits of the Procedure

  • Greater arousal from clitoral stimulation
  • Younger, smoother skin of the vulva (lips of the vagina)
  • A tighter introitus (vaginal opening)
  • Increased arousal from G-spot stimulation
  • Pinker, younger, color of the vulva
  • Stronger, more frequent orgasm
  • Increased sexual desire
  • Decreased pain for those with dyspareunia (pain during sexual intercourse)
  • Increased natural lubrication
  • Improved symptoms of urinary incontinence

About the Procedure

As with other Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) procedures, a small amount of a patient’s blood is drawn and placed into a centrifuge. The blood is spun to isolate, activate, and release platelets within only a few minutes, allowing the entire procedure to be performed in one office visit.  The PRP is then injected into and around the clitoris, the nerves that supply it, and sensitive regions of the vagina to make it “plump” and more sensitive by activating the Orgasm System. The injection activates the body’s localized stem cells and begins enhancing vaginal and clitoral function. For most patients the results last more than a year. Additional shots can be given in the future as needed to maintain the desired effect.

Aftercare and Recovery

Sexual activity can be resumed the same day of the treatment. Some degree of enhanced sexual response may be noticeable immediately, with the full effects unfolding over a timespan of up to three months.
