Belotero is a specially designed dermal filler that reduces unwanted lines and wrinkles. Using the naturally produced hyaluronic acid, Boletero discreetly integrates with your tissue to rehydrate and volumize your skin, subtly removing frown lines, reducing crow’s feet, softening lines around your mouth, or giving you fuller lips.
Unlike other fillers, Boletero meshes with your dermal tissues so well, there’s little chance you will even be able to feel a difference in the treated area regardless of whether you’re improving your facial contours or hydrating skin on your hands or your décolletage.
Candidates for Belotero Injections
- Beginning stages of aging around the nose, mouth, and eyes.
- Patients looking for subtle but effective correction of early aging.
About the Procedure
Since Belotero has a thinner texture, it is primarily effective for mild-to-moderate wrinkling and volume loss. Belotero injections are a quick and easy process that will be performed in Dr. Byrd’s office. In most cases, no pain relief is needed, but if you prefer, a local anesthetic can be used. Afterward, Dr. Byrd will apply Belotero to the necessary regions in a quick series of injections. The entire process will take no more than half an hour, and no recovery period is necessary. Many patients opt to do it during their lunch hour. Belotero Balance injections take 15 to 30 minutes and may involve some minor discomfort.
How Long Do Belotero Injections Last?
The results are immediate. Depending on where Belotero is injected, (areas that move a lot, such as the lips), it may last up to six months. In the under eye area or other places with less motion, the results can last up to a year or slightly longer.
Aftercare and Recovery
Belotero requires little to no downtime with most patients able to return to their daily activities immediately following the procedure. Bruising at the injection sites can be covered with mineral makeup. As with any injectable filler, you can expect mild swelling and reddening at the treatment site that will typically resolve in a week.
Complications are minimal, but most patients will experience redness and swelling at the injection site. Some may also have slight bruising or a small amount of discomfort. These side effects normally clear up within 1-2 days, and gentle massage and cool compresses can help them go away even faster.
We have worked hard to create a warm, inviting office environment, where you will feel comfortable and relaxed throughout your Belotero injectable experience.
